Hunt for the Holy
September 28, 2004

Holy: (breath)

Birthing, today we shall speak of birthing,
birthing of the mysteries,
and paradoxes of birthing

(breath)

for births come in many forms,
in many ways
through many times.

(breath)

Apparent beginnings,
beginnings of parents
and yet, continuations,
children begetting parents.
Shall I tell you, the mysteries, complexities
and paradoxes of birthing?
of putting into Creation what is of Spirit,
a bringing to the temporal what is Eternal?

(breath)

Do you know, no act of creation is done in isolation?

(breath)

No house that is built without the Spirit shall stand?
No song that is sung without the Spirit
shall travel to the ears of the heart?
No task that is completed without the Spirit, endures.
Yes, there are families in the Spirit,
and there are twists and turns
in the temporal among these families.
For what comes to the here and now from the Spirit
comes only from the twists and turns of birthing.

Shall I tell you a great irony?
Sometimes a mother gives birth
to the parent of her Soul.

(breath)

It is a Holy Pattern and the wise mother knows
And the wise mother understands.
The wisdom of the child is greater, so the journey of parent-hood
is a protection of the Wisdom and sending forth,
a reverence and an acceptance.

(breath)

A beautiful and marvelous thing,
a mystery to be embraced.
It is a task of Holy proportion,
a marvel to learn, to see,
to cherish, to embrace,
to protect,
to nurture.
A wise mother does these things

(breath)

Holy: So birth is such a mysterious, paradoxical experience.
From where I am there is no beginning,
for all is and yet there are relationships,
there are parents.
It is as it is.

Surrounding me are the many that are mine
and connected to these are the many that are ‘we’
and we all abide in the place that is Holy,
One and Many, Many and One
There are times we are sent forth to you, through you,
To bring the Holy to the Now,
to bring the Way to show,
to reveal and shall I tell you, to grow!

For in you is born an awareness beyond,
A possibility not seen or forseen!
Do you see the Holy Purpose of your lives is to add
to that which cannot be added to?
It is the paradox of existence and the beauty of Creation.

Live in Wisdom and add to the knowledge of the Holy Whole.
The Wisdom comes from the Holy.
It is lived in you.
Do you know?
The Wisdom is returned,
different,
altered,
expanded.

(breath)

All is an expansion.
Creation expands, unfolds, blossoms before you, through you, in you.
Give birth, my children, to the Holy!
And let the Holy give birth through you!
It is a beautiful sight, from where I am.
I see it, the Pattern.

(breath)

The cycle. Are there not cycles in your existence?
Cycles within cycles, births and deaths in a single lifetime?
The Holy surrounds you.
The Messengers whisper to you.
You are caressed.
You are blessed.
You are guided.

Ask the Holy and you shall receive.

(breath)

It is our Fulfillment.
It is our Purpose to rush in when the Way is given.

(breath)

It has always been so.
It is a Holy Pattern and difficult,
to give over to the Holy

Shall I speak to you of control?
At first, this shall be fearsome and then comforting.
You have no control.
Control is an illusion.
Fearsome, is it not?

(Breath)

The Holy has control.
and the Holy supports you,
surrounds you,
guides you.
Why live with an illusion when the Holy is before you?
Shall you not give your tasks to the Holy?
This does not mean you will not do them.
This does not mean you won’t see them through.
It means only that you will rest and learn as you do.
It does not mean they will be done for you
It means only that you find comfort.

(breath)

This is a dilemma, is it not?
How can you give to G-d what you must do?
How is this to be done?
It seems impossible, a great stumbling block.
But the Lord G-d does not say you must not do what needs to be done.
The Lord G-d only says, "Do not worry for I am with you.
I support you.
I guide you.
I have control."
So you have choice
and the Lord G-d says, "I can work with this choice."
So you have action
and the Lord G-d says, "I can support this action."
So you have tasks
and the Lord G-d says, "they are of no significance,
so I shall lift the burden of worry so the tasks can be done
in Joy and not only obedience.
May there be Joy in your tasks."
May you find Joy in obedience to the Holy.

How is it you shall love G-d more than others?
It is because the love of G-d brings Joy in obedience
and the Lord G-d supports the Way, the Path,
the Choice, the Task.

Do you see it coming together?
Release control to the Holy
and find rest and comfort, guidance and support,
a Power beyond your own,
a Wisdom beyond your own.
And then, delight in what grows before you!

Delight!

For Holiness surrounds you!
Holiness blossoms before you!
Delight!

Do you know there is a Holy Flame within you?
There are times it rises and shines.
At these times, the Holy recognizes you and says:
"Here is my child shining bright! Here is my Holy one.
"

Relationships are Holy and are not severed in the Holy Whole,
but are enhanced.
And in the Holy Whole, the tasks strip away
And only the Holy Task remains of Unification.
It is the Great Holy Task and the irony is, here
you are sent as an individual to learn the importance of Unification.

(breath)

another paradox of birth which seems so individualized
but the Holy Cords are never severed
they may be denied, but they are never severed
so do not deny your Holy Cords.
They bind you to the Unity of the Soul,
to the Holy Whole.

it is the Way of Wisdom, is it not?
what is individualized is universal.

Holy: Holy, Holy, Holy,
Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy!
Holiness embraces you
Holiness surrounds you
Holiness
Holiness is born through you. hu!
Holiness
Holiness
Holiness

Holy: I shall tell you, when you walk beside yourself,
when you are beside yourself, you are Holy,
You have shed that which inhibits your Holy Unification,
Where then does it go?
The desires, the distractions, the tasks,
They are embodied in a shadow,
to be respected, but to be set aside, for the Holy moments.
Shed like a skin, like work clothes set aside.

It does not mean you will not put the work clothes back on
for it is necessary, unfortunately.
What you seek is a life where the work clothes ARE Holy,
where the tasks ARE Holy,
where there are no distractions from the Holy.
yes, so, it is the shadow self and the spirit self comes out
and you are beside yourself
It is something to celebrate, something to be aware of,
do not worry in dismissing the shadow
It will always be there.
Do not be afraid to kick it aside,
it will get up again,

(breath)

The Holy life is one in which the relationships tied to the shadow
are untied to the shadow and are tied to the Spirit.
This brings Holy Relationship.
Do you know, your relationships are tied to the shadow and to the Spirit?
For the purely Holy Life, the shadow is shed entirely
and the relationships are tied to the Spirit
and you are continually beside yourself, but as a Unity.

It is a very difficult existence.

(breath)

One to strive towards, but difficult to live out.

(breath)

The shadow is not evil unless you make it so.
If you hate the shadow, it will be evil.
If you acknowledge the shadow and respect it,
if you take its ties into the Spirit then it is not so.
Do you know you can absorb the shadow into your Light?

(breath)

and then your Light reveals the shadow of the other,
it is why the people resist the company of the Holy,
for they do not wish to see their shadow.
But those who seek Holiness rush to the Holy One,
they do not fear their shadow and the see it diminish, the closer they
get.
For those who hate their shadow, it is evil.
and the irony is, it is stronger

(breath)

clutching, inhibiting

(breath)

Holy: control, control, control, difficult to release.
There is fear in this life, many things to fear:
loss of control,
loss of relationship,
loss, loss, loss,
fearing loss.

There is no loss in the Holy.
So I tell you this, do not fear do not fear loss,
for in fearing loss, you make loss into your god.
Fear then G-d,
You will find there is no loss.
Do not give time to your fear,
do not give self to your fear
do not give attention to your fear, for it is a distraction.
It is why Wisdom begins with fear of G-d,
to fear is to respect, respect then G-d and know ---- (tape ends)
Do you see?!
To give respect to fear is to diminish
to give energy to fear is to weaken
to give time to fear is to fritter
it is something to release, is it not?
This fear?

It is something to release,
for the Holy surrounds you,
the Holy speaks to you
the Holy casts a net.
Lie back and feel the net support you.
do not ensare.
The net of the Lord does not ensnare.
It does not make it easy, to know this, does it? (laughter)
The Holy Way is never the easy way,
but you will find ease in the Way of the Holy.
And the easy way brings hardship.
So choose the Holy Way and find ease.

Be fulfilled. My children
Be fulfilled
Be fulfilled
Find in your Holy Path, fulfillment
